SlowcookerDear Reader-

Welcome to Crockpot Week!

I am sooo giddy I can hardly stand it… or as Miss Add would say “I am so excited I could burst…oops, I bursted ;)”.

This week we will be sharing some killer Crockpot recipes with you… every. single. day. of. the. week!

Gooseberry Patch

Totally inspired by the GooseberryPatch’s new mega-hit, Slow Cooking All Year ‘Round, we will cover the whole spectrum… great appetizers just in time for the Super Bowl all the way to a killer dessert. Almost all of the recipes from this week will come from this fabulous cookbook.

I am in love with this cookbook.

It is by-far my favorite crockpot cookbook…

Crockpot Talk

So much so that when I spoke to a huge group of slow cooker fans this weekend, I referred to it over and over and over and my dear friends at Gooseberry Patch were so awesome, they gave me another copy to give to one of the audience members… don’t worry, we have a copy for one of you as well 😉

Now, how about some great teasers about the wonderful recipes that await you this week?

Easy Taco Soup

Now, I have already shared the uber-yummy Easy Taco Soup . An INSTANT family favorite around here. I made this one on the stove top, but it is totally crockpottable and I will be crockin’ this rockin’ recipe in the future.

BBQ Chicken Legs copy

Later tonight I will be sharing a totally killer Crockpot BBQ Chicken Legs recipe… I will be lightening it up a bit for my On the Lighter Side Series and sharing an awesome tip for adding an extra little touch, but if you can’t wait another minute and want to check out the original recipe, hop on over to my friend Leah’s post… This recipe has been the rave of the blogosphere.

French Onion Meatballs

On Monday, I will be sharing the super easy French Onion Meatballs that my New Year’s Eve guests went nuts over. You won’t believe how simple this one is…

Crab Rangoon Dip copy

On Tuesday, we will try the uber-yummy Crab Rangoon Dip that tastes like the inside of the Chinese takeout favorite.

Cheesy Sausage Dip copyOn Wednesday, I will be sharing one of my favorite personal crockpot recipes AND this Cheesy Sausage Dip that packs a powerful spinach  punch!

pineapple baked beans copy

Thursday will feature the killer Pineapple Baked Beans… man, I wish I had some right now.

Oh-so good.

I just LOVE making my sides and mains to be waiting for me when I get home.

Pumpkin Pie copy

Friday is going to feature THE BEST Crustless Pumpkin Pie. Again, another guest favorite at my home. When we have this, there are no leftovers. AT. ALL.

Pork Chops and Gravy copy

Saturday is all about the Pork Chops and Gravy. And, yes, it is as good as you might imagine 😉 I love super easy dishes like this one.

Sausage and Beans copy

Last but not least will be the Taters, Sausage and Beans. So simple, yet delicious and will be perfect with this summer’s fresh picked green beans.

WHEW… I am tired, how about you?

No?

Well then go check out what my blogging friends are cooking up and some are even giving away a copy themselves as well!

Miss Amy’s Egg Brunch Casserole is actually the first recipe in this book! Miss Leah not only made those killer chicken legs, but also is giving away a copy–hurry her giveaway ends tonight! My pal Miss Heather is also giving away a copy and shared a killer Loaded Potato Soup recipe that I am so wanting to try. Marybeth made this awesome Meatball Stew,  Irish Oatmeal, Sweet and Sour Beef  AND Broccoli Cheese Soup! Basilmomma is also giving away a copy AND made some yummy Brown Sugar Oatmeal.

Still not enough crockin’?

I found a recipe for a potato soup that is amazing. Each time I make it I have added additional ingredients to it, and it now has ground turkey and kale it in — and it is YUH-MMY! My hubster and I gobble it up…

I love using our crock pot for anything from beef roast to chili to soup. It’s so easy to put all you ingredients in at one time and the set time and temp and away you go. I hope I’m fortunate to win the Gooseberry Patch book so I can perhaps find some new recipes. Thanks.

Favorite meal to cook in the crockpot is roast and gravy with potatoes and carrots. Make the gravy with a package of brown gravy mix, a packet of ranch dressing mix, and a packet of Italian dressing mix mixed with 2 cups of water and poured over roast. Let roast cook on high one hour then turned to low and cook until tender. Yum YUm Yum!!!

My go to crockpot recipe is a taco soup but I also love throwing in frozen chicken breasts with a jar of salsa, shredding the chicken once it is cooked, and using it for chicken tacos or on salad.
