This Caprese Pesto Pasta Salad brings together the lovely flavors of a Caprese Salad and a powerful Pesto punch! Better yet, it is super easy to throw together– so easy that you might find yourself throwing together a bowl or two for lunch.
After making the recipe, I knew I was going to love having it as a regular for a quick side or lunch! And I knew ways that I wanted to tweak the original to make it my own.
I finished it off by garnishing it with some fresh (boxwood) Basil and a splash of Balsamic Vinegar…

I remember one vacation as a teenager with my parents that I asked to buy the ingredients to keep a batch in our hotel’s refrigerator!
Adolescent obsession aside, this particular pasta salad recipe is now on my regular rotation.

Caprese Pesto Pasta Salad
- 12 oz Rotini - Cooked & Drained
- 3 Cups Tomatoes- Chopped into Bite Sized Pieces
- Salt- To Taste
- 1/4 Cup Pesto Sauce
- 8 oz Fresh Mozzarella Ball- Cubed
- Garnish- Fresh Basil & Balsamic Vinegar
- Combine all ingredients and mix well.
- Garnish with fresh basil and vinegar and serve.
