I am ALWAYS on the lookout for easy to learn games that give new players a glimpse of the absolute BLAST board games can bring to the table and Wandering Towers fits this description so easily.
This game’s three dimensional pieces are so fun to play with during the game and such a unique feature.
The game play is very simple. You can move wizards or towers. That’s it.
You are moving tower pieces and wizard pieces throughout the game.
But there are times when the towers cover the wizards and that is when the real fun begins! You think you are going to remember where all your covered wizards are… but will you?

Wandering Towers was an INSTANT favorite with my family. We loved capturing each other’s wizards in the castles and when someone would lose track of where their wizard was, hilarity ensued!
I cannot wait to introduce this one at camp. It is an absolute delight.
Here are a few more things I loved as my family’s Family Game Night coordinator:
- The box accommodates the assembled towers (I hate when you have to disassemble pieces to box the game back up… I’m looking at you, my beloved Everdell.)
- You can very easily adjust difficultly levels.
- Although game play is simple, the game is not boring in the least!
- There is no down time. Every player’s action impacts every other player, so game play is very engaging.
And best of all, it is super quick to learn and a bit more strategic than I expected!
