Do you have more apples than you know what to do with this season? This family favorite recipe for Fried Cinnamon Apples is an easy way to use your apples for a great weeknight treat.

Easy Fried Cinnamon Apples

Fried Cinnamon Apples
We love apple season here in Indiana. Every year we make several trips to our local orchard and pick some yummy apples.

apple recipes

We love picking our own Jonathan and Jonagold apples and a season rarely goes by where we don’t grab up some Golden Delicious as well.

Truth be told we have so much fun picking we usually come home with more apples than we know what to do with! This season though I have been cooking like a mad woman and we have used up every last bit of them and the family is begging to go back!

apple picking

We have had many a morning with yummy Apple Cinnamon Steel Cut Oatmeal, many a snacks on delicious Apple Butter and made many friends with this ah-mazing Caramel Dip.

Yet there is one apple recipe that reminds me of my childhood (and one I want to pass down to my apple-lovin’ Miss Add)- Fried Cinnamon Apples.

Whipping up a batch of Fried Cinnamon Apples couldn’t be easier. If you don’t like the peel, peel your apples. We are peel-on folks so we fry them up with the peels on. It is up to you. Then you just slice up your apples (and why yes, Cuisey was actually feeling helpful and sliced things right up). Toss your apples in your cinnamon and sugar (and salt). Heat your skillet oil and cook those babies down. Add a little butter at the end and ta-dah.  A delicious fall treat.
