Forgive me Dear Readers…

These past two weeks have kicked my booty and while I have been running to and fro and yonder like a chicken with my head cut off…

I haven’t blogged as much as I would like. I have tons of recipes waiting on my computer just for you…

and several things I can NOT wait to share with you…

Things like an upcoming FREEZE-O-RAMA with a very special twist… CROCKPOT-O-RAMA if you will 😉

That is right, we will be using our slow-cookers to prep several of the meals!

So here is the line up for the next FREEZE-O-RAMA:

This month we will be cooking up prep time savers that will shave tons of time off of a nightly meal…

This has to be one of my favorite ways to freezer cook these days because I can throw something fantastic together in a flash.

Prep Time Savers

  • Seasoned Ground Beef
  • Shredded Chicken
  • Shredded Pork
  • Shredded Beef
  • Chopped Bell Peppers
  • Chopped Onions
  • Freezer Basil (Yay!!)
  • Crockpot Veggie Dump (for roasts and whole chickens)

This month I am also trying my hand at tweaking the freezer burrito recipe and adding 2 breakfast burrito recipes. I am soo looking forward to having the convenience of breakfast in the freezer.

Convenience Foods

  • Lunch Burritos- Altered Recipe
  • Breakfast Burritos- New Recipe

I got some killer deals on meat at Aldis the other day, so I am using my crockpot cook up those lovely cuts of beef, pork and chicken to make some mean freezer meals to enjoy all month long!

Meaty Main Dishes

  • Garlicky-Herbed Pork Roast
  • Slow Cooked Pork Tacos
  • Savory Chicken Sandwiches
  • Our Favorite Chili
  • Savory Merlot Pot Roast
So that’s the plan, Superman 😉
I already have a few dishes done and something’s cookin’ in the crockpot as we speak!
As you can/will see, these dishes are easy peasy– perfect for all you would-be freezer cookers out there 😉
Come chill with me baby!

Looking forward to those recipes! I use my crockpot year ’round, but especially in the fall and winter. Always great to have things started and waiting in the freezer.

[…] During my last FREEZE-O-RAMA, I saw this Savory Merlot Pot Roast in Gooseberry Patch’s Slow-Cooker Recipes Cookbook and I recalled the last time I cooked up a Pot Roast in the slow cooker and I was sold. […]
