The other day I gave this Goode & Gooseberry Patch Project  recipe a whirl and I was very surprised at how much everyone from Miss Add to Papaw just LOVED it.

This recipe for Creamy Grape Salad can be found in Gooseberry Patch’s Mom’s Favorite Recipes.

Ya just clean 6 Cups of various grapes

Then in a separate bowl, mix 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar

1 Cup chopped Pecans

and  1 Cup Sour Cream.

Pour over grapes and toss well.

Chill before serving.

Yum!

This is the best salad/dessert. Everyone loves it! I mix the sour cream with 8 oz cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar and 1 Tbs vanilla. I sprinkle the brown sugar and pecans on top of the grapes instead of mixing in. It is delicious either way. It is always a one of a kind at a potluck.

Oh– I bet the cream cheese adds a nice touch!

Looks delicious, Cris. And yesterday I found ground pecans for $1.99 a bag, where the ones that were not ground were like WAY MORE, so I’m willing to have my pecans ground for that price difference. Also found ground almonds (which I use to make almond past for Stollen). Oh. These were at Farm & Fleet. I don’t know if you have F&F where you are.

It may be delicious, I’m not in a position to argue that, but it certainly doesn’t LOOK delicious.

The recipe that I have you dry the grapes after cleaning. I won first prize with the recipe that I have and everytime I fix this, everyone has to have the recipe. It is so good. It is way better than the picture, trust me.
