Grilled 3 Cheese

Dear Reader-

With all the cold weather, we have been eating a lot of soups lately…

And with that comes the need to jazz them up from time to time… ya know with the likes of a peanut butter sandwich or better yet, a grilled cheese… yum!

And sometimes, we break from our usual Kraft singles or Velveeta and opt for Cheddar.

But, sometimes we opt for Havarti or, in this case a little combo of some of the yummiest, meltiest cheeses in the cheese case…

A bit of Havarti

A smidgen of Muenster

And top it off with some Gruyere

Slice off about a half ounce of each…

Brush two slices of Texas Toast with melted butter

Place one slice butter side down and put cheese on top. Then place the other slice on top butter side up.

When the bottom is nice and golden, flip. And, when the bottom is golden again, it is done.

Let it rest for another 2 minutes or so to ensure super meltiness…

Cut into triangles and serve up with your favorite soup…

Yum!

My son lives on grilled cheese so of course I had to come over from A Southern Fairytale and check this one out.  It’s amazing what a change up in the cheese can do to alter the taste.  I’m going to try this one on my kids.  check out my blog at http://www.myjudythefoodie.com
