You Can’t Be Everyone’s Cup of Tea

You can't be everyone's cup of tea, especially when you're coffee

Have you heard the old saying that “You can’t be everyone’s cup of tea, especially when you’re coffee”?

It has helped me put things in perspective a lot over the years.

I learned that people often say things according to what they were looking for… and if they were looking for tea, coffee isn’t going to please them.

I also learned that people tend to see you from where they are mentally, emotionally, spiritually, etc.

With that in mind, it became much easier to understand that not everyone was going to like every thing I did… or even like me in general. And that is completely okay.

Truth be told, none of us can completely understand where the other has been or even where they are going.

My journey may not be their journey and that is okay.
