Are you looking for a cookbook to help you feed a crowd? From game day treats to church potlucks to family cook outs and Memorial Day grilling, Gooseberry Patch’s Game-Day Fan Fare (affiliate link)  has you covered.

Gooseberry Patch Game Day Fan Fare

Now before we dig into all of the deliciousness, you have to know that my dear friends at GP sent me a copy of this lovely book and another copy for one of you lovely readers… and believe you me, you are going to want this one!

Which says a lot coming from this non- sports fan… GASP!

While I am not a sports fan, I am a cooking fan and this book did not disappoint. Truth be told, I was really surprised at how much I took to this book.

Kick-Off Brunches

It starts out with Kick-Off Brunches where I found my from-now-on go-to Breakfast Pizza.

Egg and Sausage Breakfast Pizza

The entire family LOVED this recipe (coming soon to the blog) and it was so easy to make AND lighten up for my On the Lighter Side Series. I will be making this many a weekends to come I do believe.

Major League Munchies

The next section is full of all kinds of appetizers perfect for those Major League Munchies 😉 I am already planning to try the yummy Black Bean Salsa recipe and I am eyeing the Herbed Deviled Eggs as a solution to the dozen hard boiled Easter Eggs in my fridge begging for something to be done with them!

And, dude… there is a Bruschetta recipe in there that is totally calling my name.

Souper-Bowl Soups, Salads and Sandwiches

In the next section,  Souper-Bowl Soups, Salads and Sandwiches, there is a fantastic Red Skin Potato Salad that will be making its way to my picnic table this summer. And currently, my fridge is brimming with the ingredients for an On the Lighter Side version of the Sensational Sausage and Kale Soup recipe- YUM! And, I may just have to save a splurge day and try out the Chicken Bacon Quesadilla recipe.

Slam-Dunk Mains and Sides

Slam-Dunk Mains and Sides is where we find Puddie’s favorite recipe we tried- Enchilada Lasagna.

Gooseberry Patch Recipe

This section also has a fantastic Chicken Wings 4 Ways recipe that gives you four different options for wing flavors- Buffalo, Tex Mex, Sweet & Spicy and Asian– that I am pretty sure I am going to use on chicken legs at my next cook out.

Touch Down Treats

The Touch Down Treats section is home to the Hoosier Cake that my fellow Early Bird Teammate Brandie from The Country Cook brought to my attention.

Hoosier Cake

As a life-long Hoosier, I had never heard of this Oatmeal Raisin Cake with Brown Sugar Pecan Icing, however as I made this for our Easter gathering, the smell of the batter baking definitely reminded me of baking at Grandma’s house. And, although none of my family knew of such a cake either, it was a HUGE hit at Easter and my grandma was one of its biggest fans.

Stadium-Sized Recipes for a Crowd

In the last section of the cookbook, Stadium-Sized Recipes for a Crowd, you will find Miss Add’s favorite recipe in the book, Mini Pie Bites (recipe coming soon).

miniature pies

My little baker loved making all of these little pies for our Easter gathering. The best part was we could make various flavors so everyone could have their favorite pie flavor.
