Gooseberry Patch 101 Cupcake, Cookie & Brownie Recipes

So, we all know how much I heart Gooseberry Patch, right?!
Well, imagine my uber-excited-ness when they sent me their 101 Cupcake, Cookie & Brownie Recipes Cookbook BEFORE you can even find/buy it in stores!
As I flipped through the pages, it reminded me a lot of the beautiful cupcake and cookie books that are so popular these days… ya know the ones that are nice enough to grace a coffee table if you were in to that sort of thing.
The book came at the perfect time… Miss Add and I had planned a baking extravaganza that night, so we just shifted gears and picked out a few new recipes to try.
The Peanut Butter Cup Cupcakes easily made the cut. Chocolate, peanut butter and cake…you can’t go wrong here.
These were super easy and fun to make and uber-yummy.
These were Miss Add’s favorite of the night’s treats… shocker right–Miss Add prefers peanut butter?!? Nah, not my kid. 😉
Next, we chose to make The Best Blondies–my favorite of all the things we made.
I have always preferred Blondies over Brownies (although I am totally a brunette at heart 😉 ). But, let’s just say that forever-more I now have a new level of expectation out of pan of blondies. These were incredible. Best I have ever had.
Chewy, sweet and full of white chocolate, pecans and toffee… ooeey gooey white chocolate and toffee.
I used a brownie blondie pan so that everyone got the best part in every serving, the edge piece!
Last, but not least, was Puddie’s favorite–the Tasty Cookie Pops
We made ours with peppermint sugars, sprinkles and cinnamon sugars.
Then I decided to take some of the extra toffee from the blondies and see how the cookie pops would do with toffee sprinkles…
Puddie approved! His all-time favorite from the night.
I loved the base sugar cookie dough in this recipe –again better than any I have made before– and it is sturdy enough that I think Miss Add and I are going to make another batch before the season is over and roll them out and cut out fun shapes.
I will share these three recipes later this week… stay tuned!
Note: My family did not consume a pound of butter in one sitting 😉
Fear not waistline watchers…after some taste testing, we froze up the majority of these treats for future meetings and parties…
I am really enjoying freezing up our sweet treats these days. It really helps with portion control and gives me the guilt-free freedom to bake away!
Speaking of which… I can’t wait to try these other recipes from the book:
  • Peanut Butter Brownies
  • Scrumptious Cranberry Blondies
  • Cream Cheese Crescent Bars
  • Tiny Turtle Cupcakes
  • Boston Cream Cupcakes
  • Taffy Apple Cupcakes
  • Oh So Fun Fortune Cookies
  • Simple Almond Biscotti
  • Mint Chocolate Sandwiches
  • Peanut Butter Sandwich Dips
I could go on and on… I’m in love.

GOODe Luck!It goes without sayin’, but I gots to say it. GP sent me the cookbooks (mine and yours) for free. No other compensation was received. And, as always, all these opinions are mine and mine alone… as if someone could make me say something I didn’t believe/think myself…just sayin’

As I flip through the pages of Gooseberry patch Christmas 2010, I imaging making some of these things with my lovely 8 yr old granddaughter. I would love to gift her with this new cookbook, to start her own cookbook collection. I know we all have one. 🙂 and we love Gooseberry!
