Favorite Things Under $10

Dear Reader-

There are few things funner (yes… I know it is “more fun” but, truth be told, sometimes it is “more fun” to say funner 😉 ) than finding a GOODe find…

Other than sharing that find with your friends… or having them share a find with you…

That is why when my womens’ group at church announced we would be doing a Dirty Santa Gift exchange “Favorite Things” style… I was so intrigued.

Each gal brought one of their favorite things under $10. (Note: Some of these items are over $10 because folks caught things on sale or used coupons).

It could be something useful, something used to pamper yourself or the greatest fill-in-the-blank.

The idea being that regardless what you walked away with that day, you had a great list of great things under $10 that you could gift others this holiday season or treat yourself later on!

So what did folks share?

As you might imagine, there were a lot of soaps, lotions, candles and lip glosses shared… not to mention everything Starbucks gift cards.

There were also a couple different Homemade Laundry Soap recipes and samples that were quite popular…

Truth be told, It never occurred to me to bring a batch of Shawn’s Laundry Soap or Allison’s Reusable Dryer Sheets or Beckie’s Liquid Foaming Hand Soap.

Another big hit: Swiffer Dusters.

Of personal interest to me?

These pop up Grocery Shopping Baskets from Christmas Tree Shops.

They are collapsible.

They come in all kinds of adorable prints.

They are somewhat water resistant.

They fit a 9 x13 pan inside and they have a zipper pocket inside.

I may have just went out and bought me some 😉

Of other interest to me… a devotional book that came highly recommended by many: Jesus Calling.

I may have downloaded it to my Kindle app… ASAP 😉

I also was totally sold after hearing someone rave about their Furi Knife Sharpener…

So what did I take?

I contemplated taking several different things…

Brownie Pan, Mix N Chop and MicroCooker all topped my list, however, when push came to shove, I felt I HAD to share about the Chef’n Switchit Spatula…

I use mine EVERY DAY.

I even used it that morning to whip up a batch of scrambled eggs… using my favorite method to scramble eggs…

More on that Super Mommy Secret soon.

So what did I get?

Two of my favorite things…

Diet Coke (McD’s Gift Card) and Chocolate…

A Hershey’s Symphony Bar to be exact… Almonds and Toffee… YUM!

I love eating them plain or using them to make Puppy Chow extra decadent over the holidays…

Hmm… I may just have to do that this year… GOODe idea!

What favorite thing would you bring?

Nice gift for a Dirty Santa gift exchange. You can’t go wrong with a chocolate bar.
