Do you love the taste of homemade desserts but worry that they won’t turn out right? This ah-mazing little treat is made for you! Easy Cherry Cobbler will have your family thinking you spent hours making these delicious individual desserts, but they couldn’t be easier!

Simple Cherry Cobbler

Easy Cherry Cobbler
I found this recipe last night as I flipped through  Gooseberry Patch’s Everyday Simple Suppers trying to find something quick and easy to make for dessert for Puddie and my nephew.

They had spent the whole evening working on clearing dead trees on our property and I wanted to make them something special. The problem was it was already past 6 and dinner was no way near being on the table so I had to find something that would taste amazing but take very little time and effort.

Cherry Cobbler

And boy-oh-boy did I find it!

So simple yet so decadent.

Now I replaced the tart red cherries with black cherries because Puddie and Taylor were not big traditional cherry cobbler fans… and I thought I could change things up and surprise them.

I think it worked. Both of my non-cherry lovers were raving about how amazing it was… I heard things like:

“How on earth is THAT cherry cobbler?!? That is so good!”

“That is serious good.”

Now I on the other-hand LOVE cherry cobbler so I was a little concerned that it was more cake-like and not my very favorite crust-based cobbler.

One bite and I got over that notion. The cobbler was so sweet and light and then the butter bubbled up through the top to make the most amazing chewy topping.

This recipe is easy enough to make at the last minute but totally holiday-worthy.

All you do is heat up your cherries, mix up your batter and layer it all in individual mugs or ramekins with copious amounts of butter ;).

Truth be told, I was also uber-excited to get to use my cute little Muffin Pots!
