What’s a girl to do when your ham is too big to fit in your any of your five slow cookers? Why…she makes this Brown Sugar Ham in the oven…that’s what!

I love ham, but I have never made one before…which means I have never made ham and beans before either. Ham and beans is one of my FAVORITE meals of all time. Momma came to hang out with me the day I had Ryder. While we were out walking and walking (close to 10 miles!), we stopped by the store and picked up a ham. She made up some DELICIOUS ham and beans for me once we returned home…sadly, that was the last time ham and beans was made in this house. But a 10.74 lb ham is WAY too big for a pot of ham and beans, so we needed a yummy recipe to get this bad boy started. That’s when I came across this awesome Slow Cooker Brown Sugar Holiday Ham that Cris whipped up in her slow cooker. Have I mentioned how big this ham is? Well, it was too long for the large round one slow cooker and too tall for the large oval ones, so time to adapt the recipe for the oven!

Brown Sugar Ham
Preheat your oven to 300. Place your ham in an oven safe dish flat side down. Rub your brown sugar all over your ham. Place pineapple slices on the ham and secure with toothpicks. Gently pour your pineapple juice all over your ham. Cover with foil and bake for 2 1/2 – 3 hours. You want to make sure the internal temperature listed on the label of your ham before you pull it out. Mine was 140. Then serve it up! So simple and so delicious! That equals a winner in this house!
