Tiny Mushroom Crochet Pattern

This free tiny mushroom crochet pattern is great for things like keychains, garlands, or even just a cute little gift for a friend or loved one. It is very simple, and can be made in less than an hour. This pattern is almost no sew. The only sewing step is closing the bottom of the stem.

Equipment

  • 5mm Crochet Hook
  • Yarn Needle
  • Scissors

Ingredients

  • White Yarn (or any other color you want your stem to be)
  • Orange Yarn (or any other color you want your cap to be)
  • Stuffing

Instructions

  • Mushroom Cap
    Round 1: Start with your cap color. Magic ring, ch 1 and sc 5 into the ring, sl st into the first sc to complete the round (5)
  • Row 2: Ch 1, Sc2 in every sc around, sl st into the first sc to complete the round (10)
  • Row 3: Ch 1, *Sc in the first st, Sc2 in the next st, rep from * until end of round, sl st into the first sc to complete the round (15)
  • Row 4: Ch 1, *Sc in the first 2 stitches, sc2 in the next stitch, rep from * until end of round, sl st into the first sc to complete the round (20)
  • Row 5: Ch 1,*Sc in the first 3 stitches, sc2 in the next stitch, rep from * until end of round, sl st into the first sc to complete the round (25)
  • Row 6: Ch 1, In blo, *sc in the first 2 stitches, sc2tog the next 2 stitches, rep from * until end of round, sl st into the first sc to complete the round (20) Use your stem color to join your round.
  • Row 7: Ch 1, sc2tog for every stitch until the end of the round, sl st into the first sc to complete the round (10)
  • Rows 8-9: Ch 1, Sc in every st until the end of the round, sl st into the first sc to complete the round (10)
  • Now would be the time to stuff your mushroom. Leave the cap un/understuffed so it stays kind of flat.
  • Row 10: Ch 1, sc2tog for every stitch until end of round, sl st into the first sc to complete the round (5) Tie off. Leave a long tail to sew the bottom of the stem together.
  • Using your needle, weave in and out of the flo, pull tight, and then stuff your tail into the mushroom.
