Ahhhh…love is in the air! I can’t believe it is the week of Valentine’s Day already! Didn’t we just celebrate Thanksgiving last week? Maybe not. 😉
I can’t help but think back to my first Valentine’s Day with Michael. We spent it apart. Yep. I was heart broken. Duty called at work, and so I was checking into a hotel in Florida on our first Valentine’s Day. Needless to say, the hotel’s complimentary champagne and chocolates were wasted on me. I was missing my love. I am grateful though, because that experience has made me appreciate being able to spend Valentine’s Day with him ever since.
Those who know my Michael know that he LOVES to eat! When they say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, they had him in mind. That is actually how I snagged him in the first place, but that is another story for another post. 🙂
So this week’s recipe round up is all about pink and red foods in the spirit of Valentine’s Day. Love and food…sounds like a perfect combination (or one in the same to my hubby)!
