Honey Garlic Drumsticks

Dear Reader-

Simple recipes with few ingredients sometimes make the most amazing dishes… and Oh. My. Word., that is the case with this awesome little recipe in Gooseberry Patch’s brand new- not yet in stores- cookbook, The Harvest Table.

Psst… Have you entered to win a copy, go on now, I’ll wait…

I started by removing the skin from a 12 pack of chicken legs to reduce the fat in this dish a bit.

I know some of you were wondering about using chicken breasts… I think it will work, but I would definitely use a meat thermometer to make sure you don’t dry out the chicken.

Place the drumsticks on a baking sheet and season ’em up a bit… a little pepper…

And a little salt.

Then bake ’em at 400 degrees for about 25-30 minutes (I reduced the time a bit since I removed the skin).

Now, the best part… Take 1 Cup of Honey

Mix in 1 T Hot Sauce

And ideally a clove of garlic- minced… or, if you discover all your garlic went bad over vacation,ya know,  hypothetically…. then use 1 t of Garlic Powder…

Mix it all up…

And brush 1/2 of it on the legs…

Bake for 10 minutes, turn the legs and brush the remainder on the legs and bake 10 more minutes or until juices are clear.

Holy Yumminess Batman!

This recipe is officially on our family favorites list… so easy and so delicious.

Hey Cris — THAT is my recipe — almost as much fun as having a recipe included in a Gooseberry Patch book is seeing it reviewed 🙂

We LOVE this recipe — so easy and so yummy 🙂

    Blessings!
