Dear Reader-
Do I have an ooey gooey sweet treat for you today!

This awesome little sweet treat– Magic Bars– is found in Gooseberry Patch’s Sweet &Simple

.

Ya might recall I am cookin’/bakin’ up 10 recipes from this baby and then giving one away to one of you thanks to my pals over at Gooseberry Patch and their project with my Real Farmwives friends.

One reason I LOVE this recipe is that it is super simple to throw together for a get-together in no time flat AND it is really easy to switch out ingredients to meet your guest favorite sweet requests!
You just take a sleeve of graham crackers and crush them up…

Add a stick of melted butter
Mix it up and then press it down into a 9 x 13 pan
Grab a can of Sweetened Condensed Milk
Pour it over the crust… YUM!
Add 1 Cup Chocolate Chips
1 Cup Chopped Walnuts
and 1 Cup Butterscotch Chips
Bake at 350 for 25 minutes, then cool and cut into bars
YUMMO!

Yummy! These are similar to 7 layer bars which I adore. Now I'm craving a few.

I've seen these called "Hello Dollies," too, and I just love them. Haven't made them in a while but after seeing your post, I will, soon! (BTW, did you know these were Bing Crosby's favorite cookie?)

I only own three Gooseberry Cookbooks, so I was really excited to try this. After it cooled down last night I fired up the oven 🙂 I didn't have walnuts, we don't eat them much but I did have pecans, I always have pecans in my cabinet. It was supper yummy! thanks so much for sharing!
