In reply to crisgoode. It's hard to explain, it was an old fashioned recipe, it was whiteish slightly tan in color, sticky, it would be considered more vanilla then chocolate. I'm from Nova Scotia, I've only ever seen it on cakes there so it might be a local thing I'm just not sure lol
