Stay-cation 2010 continues with a trip to the zoo.

You gots to take a Monkey to the zoo afterall 😉

Unlike last time, this time Miss Add actually noticed the animals.

She talked about these sea lions for hours. I assume these are sea lions… truth be told I don’t know if they are seals or sea lions. So any zoologists out there feel free to correct me.

We were soon off to see the fishies.
And then the highlight of the trip… Miss Add pet a REAL LIVE SHARK! She was sooo tickled!
There was lots of walking.
And we even saw a polar bear (even though we weren’t LOST 😉 )
We saw brown bears too.
We saw funny lookin’ flamingos like in our storybooks…
And wrinkly Ole Elephants…
Aveeno anyone?
Addie even got to ride an ape!
Can you believe it!?!
Did I mention there was lots of walkin’?
and Rhinos too!
And, we still loved all the great climbin’ and peakin’
And walkin’ and runnin’
Wide open spaces are the best!
So much to see, so little time.
We even saw a BALD EAGLE!
It reminded us of our favorite bald guy around here 😉
We had a GOODe time at the zoo! We are just relieved we didn’t get our monkey mixed up with theirs.
Whew!
We think we’ll keep ours… Just sayin’

Last time we took the kids they thought the best thing were the goats. Seriously? We live on a farm and you still want to play with farm animals? Bears, monkeys, anyone??

    Glad you had fun!
