In reply to solidgoldeats. I have had others suggest a little sausage gravy as the sauce. But if that is the case I would probably bake the crust first with the topping you like, sausage, cheese and hash browns-- perhaps add mushrooms, green peppers and or onions? and add a little gravy before serving.

This is a great post! I love breakfast, and too often I suffer with a bowl of plain oatmeal. Since I don’t eat eggs, would you have a suggestion for a replacement? Like, cheese, or… idk?
