It all started with some begging and pleading…
“Mommy can I puh-lease order some books from the school flyer? Puh-leeeeease?”
She had books she still needed to read sitting on her bookshelf, but when your kid is excited about books, it is hard to say no…
“I will make you a deal. You can order up to 3 books but you have to have three books you currently own read before they come in or I keep the new ones until the old ones are read.”
“Deal!!!”
Before the night was over, she had read one of the books she had picked and declared that not only would she read the three required books, but…
“I bet I could read a whole hundred books this summer, Mom!”
“Oh, yeah?”
“Yeah!”
“Well if you want to commit to something big like that, let’s make it a challenge. We will make a poster to keep track and you can choose a prize that you can earn if you complete the challenge.”
“Like Elsa’s Castle?!?”
“Sure thing. Is it a deal?”
“Deal!!!”
And with that, Miss Add’s 100 Book Challenge was off and running!
2. The Knight at Dawn (Magic Tree House, No. 2)
3. Mummies in the Morning (Magic Tree House, No. 3)
4. Pirates Past Noon (Magic Tree House, No. 4)
5. The Kingdom of Fantasy (Geronimo Stilton)

I set up a #100Books page on here to keep track of all of her books and will update it as her challenge progresses!
We are documenting it all on Instagram using the hashtag #100Books. You can follow along there OR if you have a little one that wants to join in, Miss Add would be over the moon to see other kids taking the challenge too– join us by using the hashtag and/or posting on GOODEness Gracious’ Facebook Page!
