Tonight I checked up on my DVR. Thursdays are turning out to be a very busy DVR night at the Goodes. I have about 10 shows I watch regularly besides Caillou, Super Why and World Word–beyond the world of PBS so to speak. Thursday nights are home to 6 of the 10 and I don’t trust my DVR anymore… it has been known to take on a life of its own lately.
Tonight was the premiere of Survivor. I usually watch a few episodes each season and either commit to the season big time or stop watching entirely. I have been looking forward to this season and so far it hasn’t disappointed yet.
Tonight is also they night for my Grey’s/Private Practice Fix.
I have watched both shows since their beginning episodes. And, I am very excited with the new Mc Dreamy storyline.
A new Thursday show has piqued my interest– The Deep End. It has potential.
Thursday is also home to two of my guilty pleasures. Project Runway which is defend-able and Real Housewives of Orange County which is not…
Ok, I know you may be disappointed in me right now–I know I am. But, ya see– there is something therapeutic about seeing women who have everything the world has to offer and the fact that doesn’t make them happy. It reaffirms that despite our materialistic society there is way more to life than money and stuff.
Some of my other non-Thursday favs are Biggest Loser and the new show Undercover Boss
When I saw the promos for Undercover Boss I fell in love with the show. It reminded me of a documentary I saw one time of the Carnival Cruise Ships CEO. He took it upon himself to work every job in his company for 1 day so that he could be a better manager. The first episode definitely did not disappoint. I am a sucker for awesome displays of great leadership. I predict that this will be my favorite reality show hands down.
I am also a fan of Lost. And you can regularly hear me say “huh?!?” when it is on.
Last but not least is my favorite show on TV–Big Love. The story lines are always crazy and the characters are insane, but the writing is sharp and brilliant. It is the best written show on TV.
Truth be told, my DVR is in the doghouse due to a Big Love incident. I missed the first 30 minutes of the first episode this season because my DVR decided to lay down on me. Now I saw it an hour later, but I am still a little bitter. I am working on forgiveness… really I am.

How do you keep up with all those shows? I watch Bones and Law & Order. And I BARELY even watch those. I'm waiting for Trueblood to come back and that'll be the only show I watch all summer. xD The rest of my time will be spent playing WoW.

We watch several shows each week too. I won't commit to a specific number (like somewhere around 20…haha). I was going to start Survivor this season because I LOVED Rupert, but I missed the first episode (I think) & honestly, I just can't bring myself to put much else on our weekly recording list.
My guilty pleasure: Big Brother. I love that show & Toby tells me every week that it's on that it is an insult to some one of my intelligence level & he can't believe I watch such a stupid show. haha!
I love my DVR, but if it was to poop out on me or "forget" to record a favorite show…it'd be out in the snow! haha!

BTW-This season looks like it is going to be good on Survivor…a broken toe, a dislocated shoulder and a player disrobed another player all in the first challenge! I like the personalities on this one and several are favs of mine.
