Make Your Own Pudding Pops

Dear Reader,

The other day Puddie went to the grocery store (Note to Self: You know better than to send Puddie to the grocery store alone.) and came back with three different kinds of pudding snacks… and that got me to rememberin’ something I heard some moms talking about a while back… how they just make instant pudding pops out of extra pudding snacks…

Then I got excited and down to business…

I took the pudding cups…

And with a top secret method… (but I will share with you, because we are friends)

I shoved Popsicle sticks right through the lids and popped them in the freezer.

Once frozen, peel lid back carefully (you can use it to serve as a “catch-all” for the kiddos) and then pull out of pudding cup. Psst… if it is stuck, run the cup under some hot water for a couple seconds.

Needless to say, they are a huge hit with 4 year olds and fairies alike.

But these Pudding Pops are not only a super fun way to make a cool treat this summer, they are actually also a way to give back…

Ya see, the pudding cups are made by Hunt’s Snack Pack, just one of the many brands that is participating in ConAgra’s Child Hunger Ends Here  campaign- a great program that allows consumers like you and me to take part in donating meals to hungry kids across the nation.

All we have to do is enter  an 8-digit code at www.ChildHungerEndsHere.com from the back of specifically labeled ConAgra products and a monetary donation will be made to help provide one meal through Feeding America’s network of food banks now through 8/31/12.

Miss Add loved helping entering our codes and it actually lead to some great conversations about others and how we should give back because we have been blessed so much.

Do you have any products in your pantry that have codes on them as we speak?

Go check… I’ll wait 😉

You do? Awesome!

Cause see here is the thing… you can also enter your zip code and your local food bank could receive 80,000 meals!

Pretty cool that Pudding Pops can do all that, huh?

Note: I am a Blog Ambassador for ConAgra’s Child Hunger Ends Here campaign and I have been compensated for this post, however, my ability to shove Popsicle sticks into pudding cups is all my own ;).
