Sweet Holidays

Tis the season for tree decoratin’, cookie bakin’ and living in awe of all things twinkly and bright…

Or, at least that is how Miss Add sees it.

I have said it a million times, the holidays are so much sweeter (and sugarier) with a child next to your side.

Miss Add’s hours are spent in wonder and utter appreciation for all things Christmas…

“Mom, look at the twinkling lights… aren’t they B-E-autiful?”

“Dad, Isn’t our tree so pretty?”

“Look mom, even the moon is shining bright!”

‘Oh Mom, look at my snowman isn’t he cute?!?”

And, there is nothing better in her world than to help out…

She is eager to serve as the angel to help top the tree…

And, she is quite the decorator when it comes to the tree…

She even has a signature look…

Every time I walk by the side of the tree that she hung her 30 ornaments on 3 branches, I just smile.

Then of course there is her official cookie taste tester job… which she takes very serious.

But not as seriously as the baking duties…

And, Miss Add has some uber mad baking skills.

Then there was her official “GOODe cheer” duties… She rang in the season as an entry in the Christmas Parade…

She and Sis (the horse) did Papaw proud…

Hey Mom did you know…

“The Angel came down

For God to say

Mary will have a baby

On Christmas Day

His name will be Jesus

God’s only son.”

“Yes, yes… He did.”

How wonderful it is…that Miss Add loves all the lights, glitz, and glitter; but celebrates the REAL reason for Christmas too! She’s precious!

How precious!! Now that my kids have all grown up and flown the coop, I think I need to go borrow a child. Bridger and Misty just don’t respond to the baking, the lights, etc. in the same way. 🙂  Love Little Miss Add’s sweet spirit AND her cute apron!!
